"HOME"
In 2023/24 we brought the arts alongside our usual tools to the woods – have a look at what that was all about!
In the school year 2023/2024, we have had the fortune to be able to run a project funded by the Art Council, entitled “Home”, working with some of our forest school groups in a broader sense and using different artistic forms to help them think about how they feel in the woods and what their sense of belonging to the natural world might be like.
We had the privilege of working with different artists who helped the children put their experiences and feelings about the woods across in photography, music, video and writing.
The work children produced with the help of the artists was collated and curated into a wonderful booklet that you can read through. Just click the photo next to this text. We recommend it, it’s well worth looking at!
